Asset Management Associate typically refers to a role within an organization’s IT and Non-IT equipment. Responsible for tracking, maintaining, and optimizing the use of technology assets (hardware and software) across their lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory using asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, EasyVista, Etc).
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of IT assets.
- Compliance: Ensure software licensing compliance and mitigate risks related to audits.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors for purchasing, renewals, and returns of IT equipment and software.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports related to asset utilization, depreciation, and compliance.
- Documentation: Keep updated documentation on asset-related policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Support: Assist in internal audits and support other IT teams with asset-related queries.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with ITAM tools and databases.
- Understanding of IT hardware and software basics.
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in procurement or IT operations is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (preferred, but not always required).
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
