Job Description
The Training Specialist will be responsible for assessing client needs, reviewing current practices, and
creating and delivering a comprehensive training development plan that includes materials, tutorials,
instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. The ideal candidate will be a
confident speaker and dedicated educator who stays up to date with the latest tools and resources
needed to improve employee training and performance.
During periods when the trainer is not conducting classes, their duties will include continuously updating
training materials, creating program proficiency assessments, identifying knowledge gaps in
collaboration with QA that should be addressed through refresher training, and providing support to
agents. To maintain program knowledge, the Training Specialist is also expected to take ownership in any
way necessary to remain a knowledge resource (e.g., handling calls, chats, or emails). This position
requires flexibility in working hours and the ability to travel when necessary.
Specific Responsibilities:
● Develop agendas and materials for all trainings required by UGS or the client
● Conduct employee surveys and interviews
● Consult with other trainers, managers, and leaders when necessary
● Track and collect data from training sessions and share it with the operations and quality teams
● Design training materials based on data and research
● Communicate training needs and available online resource
● Create training strategies and initiatives that add value to clients
● Contact and coordinate with external providers and educational technology resources
● Test and revise created materials
● Maintain a database of all training materials
● Train employees on onboarding and other training topics
● Deliver trainings using new materials
● Evaluate employee performance and learning progress
● Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment
● Prepare and participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews to assess
performance
● Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Required:
● Certification in talent development and training associations is a plus
● Two (2) years of prior experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position
● Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and
instructional software
● Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and learning platforms
● Strong adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
● Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects
● Good interpersonal and communication skills at all management levels
● Organized and able to manage multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
● Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
● Zendesk knowledge and Fintech experience
● Excellent leadership, team-building, and management skills
● Ability to motivate staff and teams; capable of guiding and leading
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Capable of analyzing problems and strategizing for better solutions
